Prescription fat loss pills are fat loss drugs so strong that they usually need to be prescribed by doctors, for patients who have difficulty in reducing weight with the help of exercise and diet alone.
Although there are many varieties of fat loss pill the most efficient and popular prescription fat loss drugs are those that work by blocking fat absorption from the intestine or by signaling the brain to decrease appetite.
In America prescribed fat loss pills have to be approved by the FDA (American Food and Drug Administration). The UK also has a similar body, they make sure all drugs are a safe as possible before they can be prescribed by your doctor.
Prescription fat loss pills would usually only be prescribed for those who are obese and suffer from certain chronic conditions, like high blood pressure or diabetes. Where a person has BMI (Body Mass Index) 30 or more with no obesity linked conditions and a person with BMI 27 or more with obesity linked conditions.
These pills should be taken only under a doctor’s guidance as these may cause mild to moderate side effects. In some cases, severe side effects have been reported.
The most common prescription fat loss pills are appetite suppressants. The most popular among these is Meridia.
Another kind of prescription weight loss pills is an inhibitor of fat absorption. Xenical is the only approved medicine of this type used for treatment in US.
Xenical can block about 30% of dietary fat. Both of these drugs are popular and can be used for no more than 2 years. But it should be kept in mind all these drugs are not a cure- all.
The patient’s motivation and commitment for a healthy lifestyle is also required for the treatment to succeed.

Regular exercise offers a variety of health benefits including fat and weight loss, exercise does this by speeding up your metabolic rate which means you burn more calories not only during exercise but for a long time after.
Exercise also helps tone your body and create a better appearance.
2. Don’t cut the fat out completely
Don’t cut the fat out completely, you need fat in your diet it plays a vital role in your body. Fat is required by your bodies vital organs and for the absorbtion of vitamins.
Trying to remove fat completely from your diet will make your body hoard the fat it does get. Some fats are good, like below.
3. Increase your EFA intake
Essential fatty acids are unsaturated fats that can not be constructed within the body and need to be obtained via your diet. Dietary deficiency of EFAs causes major health problems like cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and cancer.
Essential Fatty Acids can aid Weight Loss and Muscle Growth.
4. Cut your Alcohol consumption
Alcohol also reduces your bodies ability to burn fat, alcohol makes you want kebabs and alcohol will also decrease your testosterone levels. Testosterone is quite an important ingredient in muscle growth, its why woman don’t get big from lifting weights unless they supplement their diets.

Five Fatloss tips to help you shed pounds.
1. Eat a little, More often
Eat more meals that are smaller, eat 5-6 small meals a day as opposed to 2 or 3 very large ones. Never miss meals, if you don’t currently eat breafast then start. Eat healthy snacks like fruit between meals. Eating more frequently prevents hunger pangs and the crisp binges that follow, eating more often gives you consistent energy, eating also speeds up your metabolism meaning you burn more calories.
2. Don’t starve yourself
When you don’t eat at all your body goes into famine mode hording fat, any weight loss gained in the early days of starvation will probably be just water and muscle not fat.
Losing Muscle will slow your metabolism, you will have to start eating sooner or later (if not you will die) and then you will have a slower metabolism, which means you’ll get fatter than you were before.
3. Drink Water
A lot of the time we confuse hunger with thirst, if you feel hungry have a glass of water first. You can also replace sugary drinks with water cutting your calorie intake and saving your teeth.
4. Cut Down on sugar
Sugar is whats called a simple Carbohydrate, it provides our body with a lot of instant energy within a very short period of time. If you don’t use that energy it gets stored as fat.
Sugar causes an insulin spike which is followed by a drop in insulin level’s, this drop leaves you feeling tired, hungry and wanting to eat more sugar.
5. Eat more Fiber
Fiber in your diet actually has a fat binding property, more info on the benefits of fiber can be found in this articles How fiber Blocks Fat.

Eat Fiber block Fat
Fiber is the indigestible portion of all plants, its found in their cell walls and fiber provides the structural support to the plant. Dietary fiber comes from plant foods like grains, beans, fruits and vegetables. Animal products do not contain this dietary fiber. Most of the fiber rich foods are found to contain soluble and insoluble forms of fiber. Fibers, mainly the soluble fibers are medically potent as cholesterol reducers and help regulate blood sugar. While the insoluble forms of fiber are potent laxatives.
According to health experts diets consisting of more fiber help weight loss. The reasons fiberous foods fight against fat are,
- Fiber controls the intake of sugar and fat
- Fiber helps to regulate the level of blood sugar
- Fiber has a fat binding property
Most dietary fibers have zero calories in them. They have low sugar and fat content. So when you fill your stomach with fiber rich foods, there will be less space for fatty foods. As a high fiber diet requires longer for food breakdown you do not feel hungry. The fibers bind to the fat you eat and help to remove them from your body before they are stored on your body as fat. Less Nutrients are absorbed from the food into your bloodstream as fiber slows down the production of insulin after a meal. Cholesterol is produced in our body by the liver. Food also provides a smaller portion of it. But as fat is blocked in the intestine by the fiber, most of the cholesterol does not get absorbed. Even the fat soluble vitamins are blocked by the fiber along with the fat.

Our body has its own system of fat metabolism. It is so done by the action of different molecules. One of the most important natural fat metabolisers is Carnitine.
The commercial product of fat metabolisers incorporates the active ingredient L-Carnitine. It is very much a important factor in weight loss and diet supplements.
Biochemically, L-Carnitine is an amino acid. It helps to produce protein in our body. L-Carnitine is synthesized by the liver (the largest gland of our body) and kidneys, and it is necessary for fatty acids to be carried into cells. Fatty acids act as the source of energy to the cellular level. L-Carnitine is recognized as the fat metabolizing amino acid, it helps to stimulate muscle growth and thus rebuild body tissues. L-Carnitine also helps in the antioxidant function of Vitamin C and Vitamin E.
L-Carnitine is recognized as a fat metaboliser as it helps to utilize the fatty acid by the body tissues.
Apart from L-Carnitine, another ingredient Hydroxycitric acid is also considered as a fat metaboliser. Naturally available in tamaring fruit, it inhibits the enzyme which synthesizes fatty acid from carbohydrates. If the biochemical process is reduced or stopped, the process of fat production will be diminished.
Another product, Chromium Picolinate is also considered as fat metaboliser as it keeps the blood sugar level at a constant, thus helping to reduce fat.

Simple ways to lose fat
Life can be hectic and trying to watch what you eat all the time as well as squeze in regular exercise is hard work, probably the main reason most people fail on their healthier lifestyle and fat loss plans is because they put themselves on strict rabbit food diets and try to do loads of exercise from day One. Trying to lose fat this way means they burn themselves out and go back to their old ways, probably putting on more fat than they had before.
Its best to keep your fatloss plans simple to start with and build up from there, do something you enjoy to burn off the fat. Maybe take up a new hobby like swimming, golf or squash. Do more walking, walk or cycle to work, take the stairs instead of the lift, take your kids to the park more often, walk to the shops, these are all simple things you can do to burn more fat. The start of your fatloss plan is when you will lose the most weight and see the most improvement. Seeing this improvement will give you the motivation to step your exercise up a gear maybe doing some running, circuit training or you may find it usefull to buy an exercise video have a look at a good Exercise video database.
Simple diet changes that can help you lose fat.

Cut down the junkfood, the simple way to do this when you go to Mcdonalds for example is to order carrot sticks instead of chips, have a hamburger instead of a cheese burger, orange juice instead of a milkshake.

Fear Motivation
I’ve just been reading a book called entrepreneurship in it the author Alex Mcmillan talks about fear and how the fear of something is a greater motivation to do something than thinking of the positive, and I thought the same principles could be used to if you wanted motivation to live a healthier life.
Smoking can cause cancer so the governments of the world use that as as a motivation to make you stop, here in the U.K they also use it as an excuse to rip of smokers charging about 90% tax on a pack of fags. Other fears the U.K Government use to swell the chancellors coffers and raise more cash for MP’s expenses and supporting George W Bush’s wars include but are not limited to Global warming and decreasing fossil fuel supples, this fear means they can add about 80% tax on to the cost of petrol, I reckon theirs load of others but I’ve forgotten them if you know any fears the government use to rip of British tax payers please leave a comment at the bottom.
Back to using fear to make you stop smoking, the fear of death from cancer or heart disease is probably a bit to distant for most so what about the fear of impotence for men. If you keep smoking, eating burgers, drinking beer and not doing any exercise you’ll become impotent and your missus will run off with the postman.
What do you have to fear about being fat?
Being fat can cause diabetes
Being fat causes heart disease
Being fat makes you less attractive to the opposite sex
Being fat gives you less opportunities to reproduce
Being fat makes you sweat more (meaning you might smell)
Getting fatter means you’ll have to keep buying new clothes, you probably think thats a bonus if your a woman but what about when you have to start using a special shop for fat birds?
